United South End Settlements

The mission of USES is to build a strong community by improving the education, health, safety and economic security of low-income individuals and families in Boston's historic South End/Lower Roxbury and to serve as a national model of successful neighborhood engagement. USES hosts 4 full-time Commonwealth Corps Members who serve on the Workforce Readiness team as Family Support Coordinators, assisting families with obtaining resources for economic security in the Boston area. Through their service, members will allow USES to strengthen its services to families by meeting the holistic needs of the low-income parents enrolled in our education and training programs through individualized case management and wrap around services. Commonwealth Corps Members will partner directly with low-income parents, serving 100 individuals, and as mentors to USES' volunteers, leveraging 60 volunteers.
