Whether leading organizations or volunteers, being one’s authentic self is the key to leadership success. For authentic leaders, building character and culture is a function of aligning their beliefs and behaviors with the principles of the organization. Organizations that foster authentic behavior are more likely to have engaged, enthusiastic, motivated employees and volunteers and psychologically safe cultures.
We are seeking a diverse group of workshop proposals and presenters that will share their approach to authentic leadership and the changes that have happened at their organizations as a result. We seek examples of changes that have transformed, in particular, volunteer programs to run more effectively. This is an opportunity for innovative thinkers to share their experience and models of success with the service and volunteerism sector in Massachusetts and with sector leaders who are seeking fresh ideas and redefined best practices for mission driven service in an ever-changing environment.
We especially welcome proposals that address one or more of the following themes:
(We will also consider innovative and relevant presentation ideas that are not necessarily listed above.)
