The Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA) is excited to announce that applications for an AmeriCorps Planning Grant are now open! This is a funding opportunity of up to $100,000 per 12-month grant, now available to organizations interested in eventually hosting their own AmeriCorps State program.
AmeriCorps Planning Grant
Under this initiative, MSA will award funds to Massachusetts organizations (including community nonprofit organizations, faith-based groups, schools, and local agencies) not currently receiving AmeriCorps State funding in order to support the development of new programming.
MSA is interested in the development of programs that provide effective solutions to address community needs, offer meaningful AmeriCorps member experiences, generate community volunteers, and demonstrate significant community impact.
Grantees who successfully complete this process will be better prepared to apply for program funding and administer an AmeriCorps State program. Current AmeriCorps State programs can be found here.
